RICHMOND BLACK WORLD FILM FESTIVAL (#RBWFF) – “Bringing the Sisters and Brothers to the RVA”
About
Traditionally the film industry has presented few opportunities for African Americans generally to showcase their artistic abilities. Thus the Richmond Black World Film Festival (RBWFF) was born to create a needed platform for these talented women and men to present their content. The goal is to help equip them with ways to break down these barriers and obstacles. The festival will feature panel discussions with leaders in the film industry on relevant topics and critical issues facing filmmakers.
The RBWFF will also include workshops at HBCUs around the country to both educate and inspire the next generation of Black filmmakers. Our goal is to increase the impact of African Americans in all areas of the film industry.
The Richmond Black World Film Festival (#RBWFF) will be striving every year to make sure that we will be “Bringing the Sisters and Brothers to the RVA”!
